The Corporation wants to mine the planet and the Na'vi fight for their homeland. The growth and expansion of the mining colony threatens the existence of the local tribe.
When on a mission, Jake is taken in by the Na'vi and explores their habitat, culture and language. Natirii, the female Na'vi he meets in the forest, helps him through this trip.
Avatars are biological creations - a combination of alien and human DNA. They are not self-aware and are controlled by a human being whose DNA they were made from. The soldier controls an avatar that is made from his brother's DNA.
AVATAR draws a rosy picture of an ideal world. The end of the movie is especially poignant. The visual effects are spectacular. Being a talented skillful movie maker, Cameron has created one of the most thought-out and consistent movies. The film is worth viewing. |
